We said goodbye to Watertown this morning with a good breakfast and strong tailwinds ready to push us all 74 miles to Redfield! Marshy lakes and pelicans passed between stretches of prairie and farm, and we enjoyed hitting a relatively constant 18 mph. There isn’t too much or many to talk about from the ride— on days like today we play games like 21 questions or chit chat while the world passes by.
Marshes
Our cue sheet had only 10 directions, and 60 miles of the ride was straight west on the 212! It was quite an easy ride, and only got hot towards the end of the day. Redfield is a nice little town, and we picked up some old postcards from the antique store, bought necessities like shampoo and potato chips (haha) and did a big ol’ van cleaning (she needed it!). Tomorrow’s ride into Miller is going to be a piece of cake. One day closer to Wall!
