BIOGRAPHY
Hi there! I’m Evan, and I was born in Tucson, Arizona, to a military family. The U.S. Navy proceeded to move my family around haphazardly for 18 or so years. By that time, I had moved out of my parent’s home in the tropical wasteland that is Jacksonville, Florida and had begun my studies at UIUC. While the years have flown by, I have countless happy memories from my time here: I have performed for four years as a member of the Marching Illini Drumline, I picked up boxing, fighting for UIUC’s competitive team; and I gave standup comedy a try this past year with a friend of mine and found that I really enjoy it. Keep an eye out for my Netflix special. In my free-time, I enjoy watching Adventure Time and playing with fireworks. I hope to start work in the technology industry as a software developer once I’ve finished my graduate degree.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Illini 4000 is dedicated to fighting cancer and helping those who are battling it now. This is an incredible cause and one that needs all the help it can get. I heard about I4K from some of my friends who were riders in years past, and when I did, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. I’m doing the ride this year so I can contribute to the fight in a way I know will have an impact.
