BIOGRAPHY

Hi there! I'm a freshman this year at UIUC studying biochemistry with plans to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry after graduation. Besides biking, I love lifting and playing and watching football. While I'm still getting my foot in the door on campus, I've briefly explored other RSOs, such as the Ultimate Frisbee Club, which has allowed me to develop teamwork and communication.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

I4K to me is the epitome of an experience of a lifetime. Besides the amazing accomplishment of traversing the entire country by bike, being able to support the cancer research community firsthand is a gratifying thing to be able to do. A little short of a year ago, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer and from the moment I found out, I knew I wanted to do something to honor efforts made to eliminate cancer around the world. I4K is the perfect combination of doing good for yourself, while putting good out into the world.
