BIOGRAPHY

Hi everyone! I'm Laurel Racette, a senior studying supply chain management and information systems. I've was born and raised in Illinois but will be moving to Seattle, Washington post graduation to work full time! On campus, I am the Vice President of Philanthropy for Beta Alpha Psi where we host events and fundraise for Cunningham's Children Home in Urbana. I am also currently doing research in the field of international business trying to understand the impact of corporate social responsibility. Outside of school, I love spending time in nature. I love hiking and spent a lot of time hiking in the Pacific Northwest. I also love to swim, paddleboard, and explore new areas. I also enjoy yoga, cooking, and the occasional run!

PERSONAL STATEMENT

My freshman year of college, I found out that my hometown is located downwind of medical sterilizing plant that has been pumping large quantities known carcinogens into air. Because of this, people in my neighbor and surrounding community have been diagnosed rare cancers. I am riding for my family and friends and I am trying to do what I can while I still can.
