BIOGRAPHY

Hello, my name is Nina and I am a senior studying Urban Planning at UIUC. I am passionate about community development, sustainability, and maps. Outside of school I love to spend my time being active, watching movies/shows, listening to music, or biking. I am super excited to see the US while getting to do something I love everyday!

PERSONAL STATEMENT

Unfortunately cancer has negatively impacted the lives of many people all over the world. The ability to document stories people have with cancer through the portraits project allows for meaningful connections across the US. As someone who has close relatives that have been impacted by cancer, I am thankful for this opportunity to do my part. By raising awareness through the collection of these stories and raising funds to help cancer research, I hope that within my lifetime significant medical progress can be made.
