BIOGRAPHY

Hi! My name is Dylan and I am currently a senior in Bioengineering. Over my four years I've been involved with several activities and organizations on campus including the Biomedical Engineering Society, intramural sports, Marching Illini, U of I Steel Band Ensemble and now Illini 4000! I enjoy anything with a competitive nature including sports, board games and video games. I'm a big fan of Totino's Pizza Rolls and sugary breakfast cereals although I do love trying new foods. After the ride, I'll be starting my career at a medical device company in product development. I'm looking forward to the ride and sharing my experience with you!

PERSONAL STATEMENT

My ride is dedicated to my late Uncle David Beyhl, my Aunt Pat Thorndike and long-time family friend and my second mother Nancy Schebler. Uncle David passed from bladder cancer, Aunt Pat was recently diagnosed with stage IV peritoneal carcinomotosis and Nancy is a breast cancer survivor who has now been battling pancreatic cancer for the past two years. The fight, perseverance and positivity displayed by my close family has been inspiring and I hope to share their stories and traits across America on the ride. Everyone knows someone that has been affected by this terrible disease and it's up to those who are able to commit to ending it.
