Hi! My name is Samantha; I am a sophomore studying General Engineering. I am a first generation American so I grew up in Chicago with my nuclear family and visit the rest of my family in Poland every so often. I love the outdoors- hiking, biking, snowboarding- basically anything I've had an opportunity to try. I have wanted to bike across the US and Illini 4000 is the perfect way to do so!
Cancer is affecting a great number of people in today's society. Although there are already many organizations funding and conducting research about it, it is not enough. The more time and effort that is put into this cause, the more likely it is that an effective and affordable cure will be found. I strongly believe that Illini 4000 will make an incredible difference- not only through donations but by inspiring people all over the United States- and I am honored to be a part of this organization.
